Electrified Wood ART

Electrified Wood ART uses a high-voltage transformer to create fractal figures in wood by flowing electrical current across wood soaked with a chemical solution. The tree-like markings created in this process are often called Lichtenberg figures, after German physicist George Christoph Lichtenberg, who discovered (in 1777) the electrical discharge patterns now bearing his name. When used judiciously, Lichtenberg figures can enhance Wood ART, but if not careful, can easily be overdone.

NOTE:
Video is displaying the Lichtenberg Process.
DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! Very high voltage is involved.

Wood Availability

When ordering or commissioning a piece of Wood ART from Terry, please remember that some wood may be available immediately for production. Specific wood you are looking for might be available in his inventory, or might need to be ordered from other wood suppliers or possibly found in a natural wooded area and then dried for a period of time prior to creation of the piece.
